Terms of Sale
The agreement between you and Second Sight when you place an order. Plain terms, no traps.
Who you are buying from
Second Sight is a bookshop and press for mentalism, magic, and psychic entertainment. It is operated by Phelan Psychic Productions LLC, a limited liability company registered in North Carolina, United States, at 2100 Lake Dam Road # 37392, Raleigh, North Carolina 27606. Our website is parrishmentalism.com.
In these terms, we and us mean Phelan Psychic Productions LLC trading as Second Sight. You means the person placing the order.

These terms
By placing an order you agree to these Terms of Sale, together with our Privacy Policy, Shipping and Delivery policy, and Returns and Refunds policy. Read them before you buy. They are short on purpose.
We may change these terms. The version in force is the one published when you placed your order.
Who may buy
You must be at least eighteen years old to buy from us, or have the permission of a parent or guardian.
How an order is made
Adding something to your cart is not an order. Your order is placed when you complete checkout and pay.
Your order is accepted when we send you an order confirmation, or, for digital products, when we release your download links. Until then no contract exists between us.
We may decline or cancel an order. We do this rarely, but we reserve the right, for example where a price was listed in error, where a product is no longer available, where we suspect fraud, or where a previous order from the same buyer resulted in a chargeback. If we cancel an order you have paid for, we refund it in full.
Prices and payment
All prices are shown in United States dollars and are exclusive of any sales tax, which is added at checkout where it applies.
Payment is taken in full at the time of order. We accept the payment methods shown at checkout. Card payments are handled by our payment processor and your card details never reach our servers.
We take care with our pricing, but if a product is listed at an obviously incorrect price we are not obliged to sell it at that price. We will tell you and give you the choice of paying the correct price or receiving a full refund.
Your card statement will show PARRISHMENTALISM.
Delivery
Digital products are delivered immediately on payment. Printed books are manufactured to order and posted to you.

Returns, refunds, and cancellation
Digital products are not refundable once delivered. Printed books are made to order and are not returnable for change of mind, but we replace damaged or defective copies.

Nothing in these terms affects rights you may have under the consumer law of the country you live in that cannot be excluded by agreement.
What you may do with what you buy
This section matters more than the rest. Please read it.
When you buy a book, a file, or a video from Second Sight, you are buying one personal licence to use it. You are not buying the material itself, and you are not buying the right to pass it on.
You may:
- read, study, and keep your copy
- perform the routines and methods it teaches, in any setting, paid or unpaid, without owing us anything further
- adapt the material for your own performing use
- resell or give away a printed book you personally bought, in the ordinary way that any book may be resold, provided you do not keep a copy of any digital file supplied with it
You may not:
- copy, share, upload, post, lend, or resell any digital file, in whole or in part
- give another person access to your download links or account
- reproduce the material, or a recognisable variation of it, in your own book, lecture notes, video, course, or product for sale
- teach the contents as your own material, whether paid or unpaid
- translate, adapt, or publish the material for distribution
- remove any name, credit, or identifying mark from a file
If you want to publish a variation, credit a method, or teach something you learned here, write to us. In this field that conversation is usually a pleasure and the answer is usually yes. Asking costs you nothing. Not asking costs you the goodwill of a very small community.
All copyright and other rights in our products remain with us or with the author. Your licence is personal to you and cannot be transferred.
We may withdraw access to digital files where this section has been broken. Files may carry marks identifying the purchase they came from.
Availability and editions
Printed books are often issued in limited runs. Where we state an edition size, we will not exceed it through this shop.
We may retire a product, change an edition, or stop selling something at any time. Doing so does not affect an order already accepted.
Accuracy
We describe our products as carefully as we can. Screens differ, and a printed book may vary slightly from a photograph in colour or finish. That is not a defect.
Our products teach performance material. We do not promise any particular result, income, booking, or reaction from an audience. What you get out of them depends on your practice and your performing.
Your account
If you create an account, keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under it. Tell us at once if you think someone else has access.
Our liability
We do not exclude any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
Subject to that, our total liability to you in connection with an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit, lost bookings, lost business, or loss of opportunity.
We are not liable for failure or delay caused by something outside our reasonable control, including carrier delays, customs, supplier or printer failure, power or network outage, or civil emergency.
Conduct
We may decline to sell to anyone who abuses our staff, attempts fraud, or breaks the licence terms above.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. The state and federal courts located in North Carolina have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
If something is wrong
Write to us first, at contact@parrishmentalism.com. We read every message ourselves and almost everything is fixable in a single exchange. It is faster than any other route, and it is the one we would rather you took.
